Inks

The use of luminous, fluorescent and gold, silver or other metallic inks is prohibited in Switzerland by Federal byelaw.

Road safety

There are regulations banning roadside advertising that could affect traffic safety, for example posters containing signals or directional elements.

Elements essential to the image

Elements essential to the image, such as texts, should be placed at least 6 cm – in the case of F12 and F24 – and 4 cm – in the case of F4 and F200 formats – from the edge at the top, bottom and sides (this is mandatory in the case of posters placed in light boxes).

Normal poster

Please use standard, commercially available poster paper (narrow-band trim for horizontal expansion), with a pattern printed on the back (or blue back). Normal posters have to be able to absorb a lot of water. Please use water-resistant printing inks and ensure that the posters are completely dried out before delivery. Normal posters are folded by machine and soaked for up to four days prior to posting.

Illuminated posters (TriVision billboards/scrollers/illuminated windows)

For the best lighting effect, specify illuminated billboard paper. These posters are backlit for optimum brilliance. The illuminated billboard paper should absorb as little moisture as possible and must not be printed with a pattern on the back or have a blue back. We recommend digital printing of F12 illuminated billboard posters in a single piece.
Please note: backlit films cannot be used with scrollers.

Digitally printed posters

As with normal posters, please use exclusively narrow-band paper (for horizontal expansion), which is able to absorb water. Please ensure that the printing inks are water-resistant and the posters are completely dried out before delivery. These posters are similarly folded by machine and soaked for up to 24 hours prior to posting. It is essential that “digital print” is stated on the dispatch note when they are delivered.

Production

To guarantee a top-quality result, we recommend using only printing services which offer the necessary expertise and experience with poster printing.

Delivery of posters

All the posters delivered are subject to thorough quality control procedures. The posters are labelled according to language and campaign subject description. In order to guarantee that this process can be conducted with the necessary care, the posters must be delivered at least 14 days before the start of the display period. If this is impossible, please contact us immediately on +41 (0)58 455 52 42.
