From 13–28 July 2020, works from the “Die Chromatika” series will be appearing on digital advertising spaces in Zurich and Basel.
Martin Firrell is a French artist who makes use of public spaces to stimulate debate and bring his work to a wider audience – something he demonstrated to impressive effect in the United Kingdom in a collaboration with Clear Channel from 2018 to 2020. He displayed a total of 40 different artworks on poster sites, bringing examples of his exceptionally diverse “Art as Debate” to most cities in the country.
His Swiss project “Die Chromatika” is inspired by the Goetheanum building, Goethe’s “Theory of Colours” and the writings of Rudolf Steiner. The first pieces in the series offer up alternative, poetic interpretations of the primary colours blue, red and yellow.
Clear Channel Switzerland is providing its screens in Basel and Zurich to inspire passers-by and promote the display of art in public spaces.
