As of January 2017, Clear Channel Switzerland will be marketing a major part of the approximately 1200 advertising displays at the bus and tram stops of VBZ, Zurich’s public transport system.
The VBZ billboards, most of them illuminated, at exceptionally well-frequented locations enable advertisers to reach an urban, mobile and high-spending public. Every week, 6.25 million passengers are transported by VBZ, alighting or changing at the bus and tram stops – that’s 326 million passengers per year.
Together with its existing advertising displays – the premium digital offering and rotating backlit pillars at top locations – the new billboards make Clear Channel no. 1 for out-of-home advertising in Zurich. In addition to outstanding poster sites on the main traffic routes in the city of Zurich Clear Channel now offers a conspicuous presence at VBZ bus and tram stops and in the city centre.
Diego Quintarelli, Sales Director Clear Channel Switzerland: «The VBZ sites are a logical extension of our offering. Its urban, educated and high-spending target groups make Zurich particularly attractive for advertisers. Of course, we also have our strengths in other segments: for example POS, filling stations and airports. We offer customers the best, right across the board from a single source.»
