The 2018 business year saw a marked expansion of our digital services. This had a particular impact on material and energy usage. One positive trend was the reduction in the number of kilometres driven, with lower fuel consumption as a result.
As an employer, we invested in diversity and inclusion, as well as training courses and continuing education. We also evaluated potential ways of improving health management. We are proud of the diversity of our workforce, our low employee turnover rate and well-developed social commitment.
Initiatives and measures to promote sustainability
In the current business year, we have been testing environmentally friendly paper for poster production. Unfortunately, the products tested do not meet the necessary standards in terms of quality and handling characteristics. Starting this year, we have equipped our illuminated advertising displays with dimmer switches.
The current year is the first for which we have concrete data to enable comparison. On the basis of the comparative data, we have identified the following areas as focus topics for the years ahead: planet, people, public and profit. You can find detailed information and comments in the current CSR report, which we have produced in accordance with the standards of the Global Reporting Index (GRI) since last year.
